family history: (Writtin by the lovely Caddy) The marriage of Theodore Nott to Padma Patil was seen as a "smart match" among the Pure-blood Wizarding Community, linking prominent Pure-blood families, securing for the Notts the potential promise of future generations of Pure-blooded sons, and cementing the Patils in the highest ranks of the upper class. But it was seen as more than that. It was perceived as a product of great romance, of showers of rose petals and candles and long walks on the beach near the shore of Nott's summer home in Falmouth, one that featured strolls through the Nott rose gardens off the estate near classy old town Hastings, or candlelit dinners with champagne under a priceless, generations-old chandelier. And the wizarding world was left to its illusions.

Theodore places great importance on having things orderly and systematic in his outer world. He puts a lot of energy into identifying the best system for getting things done, and constantly define and re-define the priorities in his life. On the other hand, Theodore operates within himself on an intuitive basis which is entirely spontaneous. He knows things intuitively, without being able to pinpoint why, and without detailed knowledge of the subject at hand. He is usually right, and he usually knows it. Consequently, Theodore puts a tremendous amount of faith into his instincts and intuitions.
